Financial Incentives and Financing
Investing in your energy future can be easily within your reach. There are many opportunities available to help with the cost of your RE system and reduce the payback time frame while increasing the financial ROI of your project. We actively participate and monitor Wisconsin’s Focus on Energy program and various other Federal, State, and Local incentive programs to ensure you qualify for, and receive, the best possible financial assistance for your project.
Financial incentives available vary widely dependent on the particulars of your proposed project. During the planning phase we will assist you in identifying all possibilities and produce the appropriate documentation for you to submit during the application process. Available incentive programs generally consist of Federal Tax Credits, State and Local rebate programs for purchased materials, and buy-back programs that potentially dictate that energy companies purchase excess energy you produce at a higher rate than which you would purchase energy from them. Again, there may be additional opportunities available for your use and these vary from project to project and timing. We invite you to explore these possibilities for your information at www.dsireusa.org , a database site that lists current incentive programs by state and technology. Focus on Energy is Wisconsin utilities’ statewide energy efficiency and renewable resource program. Since 2001, the program has worked with eligible Wisconsin residents and businesses to install cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Incentive and financing programs are constantly evolving and opportunities available will be assessed by URE during our “Financial and Permitting” process.
